$140,000 awarded for clean-energy ideas
A new cash prize contest for clean energy business ideas, organized by some of the biggest names in corporate Chicago, picked four winners Thursday.
Judges for the inaugural Clean Energy Challenge divided the $100,000 grand prize between two Chicago-based firms. Clean Urban Energy Inc., whose software reduces heating and cooling costs in office buildings, was awarded $75,000.
